AL State Park Projects: Enhancing Visitor Experience Through Construction Program Management
From revitalized recreation areas to modernizing essential facilities, state park construction projects are important drivers in community development for cities throughout Alabama. Alabama Department of Conservation & Natural Resources
A transformation of Alabama’s state parks is underway with a range of renovation and infrastructure initiatives focused on expanding public access and enhancing visitor experiences.
Monte Sano State Park
- Scope: Site Improvements and Cabin Interior Renovations
- Services Provided: Program Management, Project Management, Field Coordination
- Highlights: Two new bath houses, new sidewalks, three RV sites converted to ADA sites, and interior renovations of 14 cabins
Lake Lurleen State Park
- Scope: Complete renovation of the existing park
- Services Provided: Program Management, Project Management, Pre-Construction Services, Field Coordination
- Highlights: New bath houses, gate house, renovated boat piers, RV sites, and a modern playground
Lakepoint State Park
- Scope: Interior renovations
- Services Provided: Program Management, Project Management, Field Coordination
- Highlights: Renovation of 44 lodge rooms, improving aesthetics and experience for park visitors
DeSoto State Park
- Scope: New construction
- Services Provided: Program Management, Project Management, Field Coordination
- Highlights: A brand-new pool house for enhanced guest amenities
Gulf State Park
- Scope: Renovation of existing golf course to RV Resort
- Services Provided: Program Management, Project Management, Pre-Construction Services, Field Coordination
- Highlights: 105 RV sites, 3 bath houses, Club house with a pool, splash pad, pickle ball courts, and administration building
Cheaha State Park
- Scope: New 25 Unit Boutique Hotel Rooms
- Services Provided: Program Management, Project Management, Pre-Construction Services, Field Coordination
- Highlights: New hotel with a small café and rooftop bar
