Klein Independent School District

HPM was contracted by Klein ISD in the summer of 2023 to assist with an extensive boundary change process scheduled to occur in the fall of 2023. This project differed from a typical boundary change process in that new schools are currently scheduled to open within KISD. Instead, KISD was seeking to balance utilization among growing and declining school populations, while better alighting their dual-language and multi-lingual programs for the students they served.

HPM leveraged powerful GIS tools to make data driven decisions regarding program locations as well as online address locators to keep stakeholders informed of proposed changes in real time. This way, key decision makers felt included in the process and aware of potential impacts for families in the district.
