HPM is currently in the process of partnering with Hillyard City Schools in Columbus, OH for a multi- year planning process. This involves gathering massive amounts of data pertaining to their district at large in order to create a robust Facilities Master Plan that will be executed in the next 7-12 years. The district is facing a variety of challenges, primarily centered around increasing population in their area contrasting a flat enrollment rate. HPM is collecting information such as subdivision analysis and demographic data to provide an explanation to the client, helping them better understand the situation at hand.
The forthcoming data will carve a path for a detailed Facilities Master plan, intended to improve overall condition of facilities across the district, which will likely require a combination of renovation, replacement and reduction. Another goal is the look at significant boundary realignment and feeder pattern changes to offer a more strategic zoning approach. In order to remain within the financial means of the district, HPM will likely be implementing the plan in multiple phases over the course of multiple years.
