Operating as an extension of the local Airport Director, and working directly with the architect and resident engineer, HPM provided Construction Management Services for Auburn’s new 25,000 square-foot terminal building.
Located across the runway from an existing terminal, the project required extensive site development including 45-acres of earthwork and grading, utility, and stormwater infrastructure extensions, and a new access road, taxiways, and apron.
The program was executed in multiple phases to reflect FAA funding cycles. Prior to construction, HPM worked with the architect and resident engineer to developed budgets, reconciling the design with approved funding, prioritizing the work in phases, preparing grant applications, soliciting bids, and structuring bid packages to align with FAA funding. After award, HPM assisted with contract administration, coordinating schedules, maintaining job cost accounting, and facilitating the flow of information between the architect, consultants, contractors, engineers, and the owner.
