Huntsville, Alabama, has long been known as “Rocket City” because of the profusion of aerospace and defense companies based there. One those rockets, Aerojet Rocketdyne, is making its mark locally with an expansion that is bringing roughly 800 jobs to the city in two facilities. The 136,000-square-foot advanced manufacturing facility will produce, among other cutting-edge equipment, the AR1 advanced rocket engine and cases for solid rocket motors. The facility will also support 3D printing production work for various aerospace and defense projects and advanced rocket propulsion research and development activities.
Just a few miles down the road, HPM guided renovations to a 30-year-old office building that houses Aerojet Rocketdyne’s defense division. The decades-old space required a gut renovation to accommodate the new employees and the highest of the high-tech business they support.
HPM is in the business of leading. For some clients, this may mean managing an already-established, multi-million dollar capital building program. For others, it could mean overseeing a single project from site selection through owner occupancy. No matter the scope of our involvement or at what point you find yourself in the building process, HPM exists to lead our clients to success and provide value in everything we do.
